The John Mullan Statue is moving back to Post Falls and having an 80th birthday party today.

The marble statue had left its post on the corner of Mullan Avenue and Spokane Street next to the Post Falls Library so that a monument company in Spokane could repair some minor damage it had sustained.

The city and the Post Falls Historical Society are moving the statue to a new location south of City Hall near the Ten Commandments monument. The repaired statue will be unveiled at 5:30 p.m.
