Eight Magic Valley Districts Get Grants

Eight Magic Valley school districts have received more than $56,000 in grants to allow schools to try new approaches in teaching methods, curriculum, staff training and compensation.

The one-time grants from the state Department of Education do not exceed $10,000, and were requested by faculty.

The state received more than 100 proposals, with 37 approved totally or partially.

Local journalism is essential.
