Pianist Joins String Quartet For Finale
Pianist Sean Botkin will join members of the Spokane String Quartet for the ensemble’s season finale tonight at 8 at The Met. Botkin will play Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major. Botkin, who grew up in Spokane, has won prizes in several prestigious competitions such as the Casadesus Competition in Cleveland, the Japan International in Tokyo, and the Busoni in Italy.
The program also includes as classical rarity, Franz Krommer’s Quartet, Op. 24, No. 3, and a 20th-century classic, Dmitri Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 3.
Tickets are $15, $12 for seniors, $8 for students, available at The Met, Hoffman Music, Street Music and G&B Select-a-Seat.
