Indians Add A High Draftee
The Spokane Indians boosted their outfield strength Wednesday by adding Michael Curry, one of the Kansas City Royals’ top draft choices, to their roster.
Curry, who played at University of South Carolina, was selected in the sixth round during last week’s amateur draft. The 21-year-old from Jacksonville, Fla., is a left-handed hitter who throws right.
He and most Indians players are expected today. Spokane begins a four-day minicamp at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Seafirst Stadium.
The Indians open their season with a three-game series at Boise before returning for their June 19 home opener against Everett.
