Walker Awarded Law School Contract
Walker Construction Inc. of Spokane has been selected as primary contractor to build Gonzaga University’s new Law School Building.
The 102,000-square-foot, fourstory brick building will cost $11.5 million, not including land acquisition, site preparation or furnishings, GU officials said.
The new Law School building is due to be completed by May 2000 on a 14-acre site south of the Martin Centre which Gonzaga is buying from the U.S. Postal Service. The postal annex on Trent will continue to operate there until a new facility is completed near Spokane International Airport in late 1999 or early 2000.
Gonzaga has not decided what to do with the annex building when it is vacated, said Ken Sammons, director of planning and construction.
