Produce expected to be available this week at area farmer’s markets (shop early for best selection):

Spokane MarketPlace (Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at First and Jefferson downtown): Various lettuces, salad mix, assorted herbs, radishes, green onions, snow peas, sugar snap peas, spinach, garlic, mushrooms, mustard greens, chard, kale, radicchio, leeks, asparagus, edible flowers, honey, strawberries.

Kootenai County Farmer’s Market (Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Highway 95 and Prairie Avenue in Coeur d’Alene): Various lettuces, salad mix, spinach, red and green kale, chard, Chinese cabbage, daikon, strawberries, snow peas, sugar snap peas, broccoli, beets, carrots, assorted herbs (including basil), edible flowers.

Sandpoint Farmer’s Market (Wednesdays from 3 to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon, at Farmin Park, Third and Main): Head lettuce, spinach, salad mix, exotic greens, baby bok choy, radishes, baby onions, green onions, assorted herbs, edible flowers, new potatoes, snow peas, sugar snap peas, baby broccoli, baby carrots, strawberries.
