Strong-Arm Robber Takes Salon’s Receipts

From Staff And Wire Reports

Police are investigating the robbery of a manager outside a hair salon as the woman was closing the business.

The robber, armed with a baseball bat, approached the 20-year-old woman from behind in the Super Cuts parking lot while she looked for her car keys. He put his arm around the woman’s neck and demanded she give him the bag she was carrying.

Nearly $6,000 worth of cash and checks collected by the business were stolen during the Tuesday night robbery, according to a police report.

The man, described as in his late 20s, was last seen running away from the Ironwood Drive store about 9:15 p.m. He was wearing a blue and white flannel shirt over a white colored T-shirt, blue jeans and a dark-colored ball cap.

The victim, who was not injured, said the robber was 6 feet 3 inches tall, 200 pounds and had dark hair.
