Kellogg Plans New School And Renovation

Compiled From Wire Services

Administrators in the Kellogg School District plan to break ground in May on a new elementary school and renovate the high school following the passage of a $6.6 million bond last October.

The Kellogg School Board approved designs for the projects late last month and Superintendent Greg Godwin said the plans are on schedule to begin construction May 27.

The money will go toward a 16-classroom, 44,000 square-foot elementary school and a new, two-story building at the high school to house the ROTC program and an extra physical education room.

The money will also help revamp the high school’s plumbing system and remodel the industrial technology department and media center.

Voters approved the bond issue by 73.5 percent on Oct. 28.
