Martin deserves chance

The way I see it is that the PGA has gone way too far with the Casey Martin case. If Tiger Woods said that he couldn’t play golf any more because they wouldn’t let him ride in a golf cart, the public would eat the PGA board of directors alive.

Casey Martin had one small request. He wanted to be able to transport himself in a golf cart, so he could join the PGA Tour and so he would be given a chance for a championship. Whether he rode in a golf cart would doubtfully affect his performance in the slightest of margins compared with the other players.

If golfers on the PGA Tour had a choice to use a golf cart or not, most of them would prefer to walk anyway. I believe that if all the golfers on the tour were given a chance to decide Martin’s fate, he would be given a chance to join the tour and use his golf cart. But instead, he had to go through a trial that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

All I am saying is back off and give the guy a chance. Derek Henley LaCrosse
