Silver Charm will be on the outside looking in at the Dubai World Cup.

The favorite for the $4 million race - the richest in horse racing along with the Breeders’ Cup Classic - got the far outside post, No. 10, at Wednesday’s draw.

The winner of last year’s Kentucky Derby and Preakness will be bidding Saturday to capture the $2.4 million that goes to the winner.

Kentucky Derby hopeful Event of the Year covered a half-mile in :47 at Turfway Park, his last workout before Saturday’s $600,000 Jim Beam Stakes in Florence, Ky.

The 3-year-old son of Seattle Slew will likely be the favorite in Saturday’s Grade III Jim Beam Stakes, a key Kentucky Derby prep race.
