Deputies Ticket Teens At Kegger

Kootenai and Bonner County sheriff’s deputies ticketed more than three dozen teenagers late Wednesday when they broke up a drinking party at an undisclosed Athol location.

Idaho State Police officers also helped deputies confiscate several kegs of beer and miscellaneous bottles of alcohol. Kootenai County deputies said about 40 underage drinkers were ticketed.

The bust is part of a continued crackdown on backwoods parties, deputies said.

The drinking party is the second large bust authorities have made within the past two weeks. About two dozen teenagers were ticketed April 26 at a party on private property north of Rathdrum.
