Flood Plan Workshop Set

A public workshop to review a Kootenai County flood damage plan is scheduled for later this month.

The plan, known as the Kootenai County Flood Damage Mitigation Plan, was developed during a series of workshops held during the past three months. County disaster and planning officials will be seeking comments about the plan at the meeting.

The review workshop is scheduled for May 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the county administration building, 451 N. Government Way, in rooms 1A and 1B.

Drafts of the plan are available for review at all county public libraries and from the county planning department.

Suggestions for changes in the plan can also be made by filling out comment sheets at the library.
