‘Students Always The Top Priority’

Kevin Schneidmiller

Cover letter

I want to start by thanking the people of Zone 2, for allowing me to serve as your school trustee.

I have always made students the top priority when making decisions that effect their educational opportunities.

One of my beliefs is the school district and community must work together to provide a quality education that prepares our young people for the future.

My experience has shown me that a system that allows people’s ideas to be heard produces the best results.

I have worked to make school board meetings as user-friendly as possible. This creates an atmosphere where people are a part of the decision-making process. The result is better decisions for our students.

Curriculum is another area I will continue to emphasize. My experience as your trustee has allowed me to see what changes in curriculum have been effective and which ones need more work.

I believe we need to continue focusing improvements in the areas of reading, math and science so our students can excel in the future.

The school district is a business; as such it must be run efficiently. I have worked to see that we spend the tax dollars provided by the patrons wisely.

My experience in operating a business has taught me to continually examine how the dollars are being spent, and make changes when necessary.

My willingness to listen and work on your behalf to improve our school system is the reason I ask for your support.
