Sophia, a Bornean orangutan, holds her 2-week-old baby Mei at the Brookfield Zoo near Chicago. The pair appeared on public display for the first time recently. Brookfield Zoo keepers paired Sophia and beau Otis for breeding at the request of officials with the Orangutan Species Survival Plan of the Zoo and Aquarium Association.
