Caple-Adams Performance Will Aid School

Linda Caple-Adams, the Spokane-born mezzo-soprano who recently sang Carmen with the Spokane Symphony, will return Wednesday to perform in a scholarship benefit concert for Holy Names Music Center at The Met. With pianist Linda Siverts and cellist Cheryl Carney, Caple-Adams will sing works by Faure, Tchaikovsky and Brahms.

Caple-Adams is a graduate of Ft. Wright College of the Holy Names, the Music Center’s predecessor institution. She won several national awards including the Metropolitan Opera National Audition and the San Francisco Opera Audition and the International Bellini Vocal Competition in Sicily.

Other performers on Wednesday’s program are Music Center faculty members violinist Garnik Gousakian, flutist Bruce Bodden, clarinetist Eugene Mondie and pianist Chelle Baravalle. The concert will open with performances by three Music Center scholarship recipients: pianists Kelly Guilfoil, Jessica Kuo and Catherine Sittser.

The Holy Names Music Center Scholarship Benefit Concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 for patrons, $20 for adults, $7 for students, $45 for a family of four or more, available through G&B outlets, 325-SEAT or (800) 325-SEAT.
