J.P. Morgan Expected To Cut Its Work Force
J.P. Morgan & Co., the nation’s fourth-largest banking company, reportedly plans to reduce its staff by nearly 5 percent through layoffs and attrition by the end of the year.
A cutback would represent the financial community’s latest effort to slash spending in the wake of this year’s global markets slowdown.
The Wall Street Journal reported that J.P. Morgan was expected to cut about 740 jobs.
