Bonner School District Prepares For Election

The deadline to register for the Dec. 8 school district election in Bonner County is Friday.

The election is to determine whether to split the Bonner County School District into two separate districts.

Anyone wishing to register for the election needs to go to the Bonner County Clerk’s office in the courthouse at 215 S. 1st Ave. in Sandpoint during business hours.

Absentee ballots will be available beginning Monday. Applications for absentee ballots must be filed with the county clerk.

Because the ballot issue is to split the district, Idaho Code requires that the county, not the school district, conduct the election.
