School Kicks Out Men For Spreading Hate
Two young men were asked to leave the Sandpoint High School campus Tuesday after they passed out hate literature to students.
Superintendent Roy Rummler said that two young men were passing out magazines or comic books with a racist message. The men were asked to leave the school campus and police were called to check on the situation, he said.
The incident is the latest in a series of racist distributions in the area.
Earlier this fall, a hate group sent mailings to Sandpoint and Hayden area residents. One mailing included a video of Aryan Nations leader Richard Butler espousing his views.
Last month, several Sandpoint churches were the target of hate literature on two separate weekends. Churchgoers found the literature left on their cars when they got out of church.
