Gunman Robs Convenience Store

From Staff Reports

A man robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Saturday and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber, described as in his early 20s, told the clerk at Jordan’s Grocery store he wanted “two packs of Marlboro Reds and all your money,” according to police reports.

He flashed a small-caliber handgun and left the store with the cigarettes and money, police said. The store clerk told police he has seen the robber several times in the neighborhood.

He was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, of medium build and clean shaven, with short, dark hair. He was wearing black leather gloves, a black baseball cap, olive-green, military-style coat and blue jeans.
