Willis Barker Spokane
Visitation for Willis Barker, 86, will be from noon to 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Graveside services is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at the Omak (Wash.) Cemetery. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge.
A 49-year Spokane resident, Mr. Barker died Wednesday. He was born in Okanogan, Wash.
He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the aircraft carrier Windham Bay. He worked as a logger and a livestock buyer and hauler. He retired from the real estate business after 25 years. He worked for both Walker’s Realty and Field’s Realty in Spokane.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Irene; a son, Thomas Barker of Spokane; a daughter, Joyce Trotter of Greenacres; a brother, Henry Barker of Arlington, Wash.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Washington Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Teresa Jennings Post Falls
Funeral Mass for Teresa J. Jennings, 85, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. George’s Catholic Church in Post Falls. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jennings, who was born in Valley, Wash., died Thursday.
She lived in Kellogg for 40 years and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Jennings moved to Post Falls in 1976 and was a member of St. George’s Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary and the Post Falls Grandmother’s Club.
Her husband, Charles, died in 1977.
Survivors include four sons, Ernest Jennings of Twin Lakes, Idaho, Duane Jennings of Kingston, Idaho, Louis Jennings of Kellogg and Roger Jennings of Bayview, Idaho; a daughter, Lillian Lannen of Cataldo, Idaho; four sisters, Jean Stroyan and Eunice Binder, both of Spokane, Lillian Baker of Oregon, and Anne Magart, of Valley, Wash.; a brother, Antone Trampus of Twisp, Wash.; and 20 grandchildren.

Jerry Tripp Spokane
Memorial service for Jerry Lee Tripp, 57, will be at 3 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mr. Tripp died Wednesday. He was born in San Diego, Calif.
He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1959.
He married Bonnie Homburg in 1978.
Mr. Tripp worked as a cash register repairman for many years and most recently worked for Triple Plate Chrome.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike and Larry Tripp; a stepson, Mike Knudtson; a daughter, Leslie Hurley; a brother, Jay Tripp; and two grandchildren, all of Spokane.
Ethel (Steensma) Kossman Spokane
Visitation for Ethel A. (Steensma) Kossman, 82, will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Kossman, who was born in Moscow, Idaho, died Wednesday.
She was a homemaker and a Spokane resident for 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Maxwell and Teri Kossman; a son, John Davis; six sisters and three brothers; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Lorena (Saylor) Wildman Spokane
No service will be held for Lorena May (Saylor) Wildman, 87, at her request. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Wildman died Tuesday. She was born in Van Buren County, Iowa.
In 1929 she graduated from High School and married Kelsey Wildman.
She worked as a bookkeeper for The Crescent department store, until retirement, and was a member of the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society.
Her husband died in 1987.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Bell of Spokane and Juanita Thistlewaite of Valleyford; four sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Sams Mica
No service will be held for Dorothy F. Sams, 83, at her request. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sams, who was raised in Portland, died Thursday.
In the 1940s she moved to Spokane and worked as a nurse at Deaconess Hospital.
She married Richard Sams in 1950.
In 1951 she moved to Mica and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Sams was a member of the Hillyard Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Sams of Suncrest and Dean Sams of Mica; a sister, Ida Dean of California; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Todd Maki Spokane
Memorial service for Todd L. Maki, 27, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Private burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Northport, Wash.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Maki died Wednesday from injuries suffered in a car accident Monday.
In 1988 he graduated from East Valley High School. He attended Bates Welding School in Tacoma and worked as a welder in the Spokane area for several years.
Survivors include a daughter, Melynda Maki of Spokane; his parents, Melvin and Betty Maki of Spokane; a brother, Rod Maki of Otis Orchards; and his grandmother, Aune Maki of Spokane.
