Jennifer Wallace and Seila Laititi had 10 kills apiece Tuesday as Coeur d’Alene rallied for a 15-11, 14-16, 9-15, 15-9, 15-7 non-league volleyball win at Cheney.

The Vikings improved to 3-1 overall. Kara Weitman totaled 11 kills, 22 assists and five blocks for Cheney, which was opening its season.

Cheney travels to Lake City on Thursday.

In other non-league matches, Amanda Kline had 14 digs and six kills, and Rebecca Triplett added seven aces as East Valley defeated visiting Lake City 15-0, 15-12, 7-15, 15-10.

Michelle Kelley had seven kills and four digs, and Mariah Middleton served 11 for 11 as Lakeside (1-4) defeated visiting Kootenai 15-5, 16-14 at Plummer.

Amanda Reinhardt and Monica Kraack had two aces apiece, and Jocelyn Flint added four digs for Kootenia (0-3), which led 14-10 in the second game.

Jessica Yearout served eight points toward a 13-0 lead in the second game as visiting St. Maries (2-0) defeated Timberlake 15-10, 15-1 in an Intermountain League match at Rathdrum.

Timberlake (0-2) led the first game 5-0 before the Lumberjacks rallied. The Tigers’ Cassie Beyer had five assists and five aces.

Also in the league, Meghan Mellett had 14 assists and six digs as Bonners Ferry (2-0) defeated visiting Priest River 15-9, 15-12.

Kindra Maas added eight blocks and four digs, and Kim Carey seven kills for the Badgers. PR’s JoAnne Vogrig had six kills.

Michelle Stevens served 10 for 11 and Clark Fork (2-0, 1-0) defeated visiting Falls Christian 15-12, 15-7 in the North Star League.

The Eagles are 3-2, 1-1.

Boys soccer

Connor Quinn scored 1 minute into the match, and Kevin Quinn opened the second half with two goals as Lake City (2-1) defeated visiting Post Falls 5-1 in the North Idaho League.

In other matches, Jon Baune had two assists and Jeff Waggoner dribbled 60 yards through six players for another score as Coeur d’Alene (1-2) defeated visiting Lakeland 6-0.

Jared Vreeland scored on a penalty kick, and Seth Merickel and Jesse Norton set up goals with long passes as Moscow (4-0) defeated visiting Lewiston 3-1.
