Qualchan Golf Carts Damaged By Vandals

Mon., Sept. 21, 1998

Vandals apparently played bumper cars with a dozen golf carts at The Creek at Qualchan golf course either Friday night or early Saturday morning, Spokane police said.

The carts were hot-wired and driven around the course and into each other.

One was driven over an embankment and into a creek. Another was rolled.

A course manager estimated damage to the carts and the grounds at $5,000. But electrical damage to the carts could increase that figure.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
