Quick check: Picked up as insurance last year, Haun came off the bench to turn disaster into a Spokane playoff victory. Down 3-2 in a first-round series with Kelowna, heading back to Kelowna for Game 6, Haun posted a shutout. Chiefs rebounded by finishing off Kelowna in Spokane, beating Prince George in the division semis and losing a tough series final with eventual Memorial Cup champion Portland - all with Haun between the pipes.

Coach’s comment: “Finished strong. Now he has to be the guy, not for a month or a series, but for a season, and beyond. He looks ready for that kind of challenge. He put on weight and added strength over the summer.”
