String Quartet Brings In Guests From Around Area
The Spokane String Quartet is known for bringing young guest artists to Spokane to join the group in its performances. Sunday’s quartet concert will feature no fewer than three guest string quartets, a piano trio, a string orchestra, and three soloists.
The guest artists are all from Spokane area and Northwest schools and colleges. Some are members of the Eastern Washington University-Spokane Symphony Scholars program, and two of the soloists are regular members of the Spokane Symphony.
One of the featured performs will be Jason Moody, the 17-year-old Dover, Idaho, violinist who appeared recently on National Public Radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion.”
The Spokane String Quartet concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at The Met. Tickets are $15, $12 for seniors, $6 for students, available in advance at Hoffman Music and through G&B Select-a-Seat.
