Marion Felzman Spokane
Marion Douglas Felzman, who was born Aug. 5, 1894, in Lincolnshire, England, celebrates her 105th birthday today.
Felzman was a volunteer aide during World War I. After the war ended, she moved to San Francisco where she was a waitress “slinging hash” until 1923. That was the year she married Joseph Felzman.
The couple moved to Eastern Washington in 1935. Mr.
Felzman died in 1963. Mrs. Felzman has lived at Royal Park Care Center for 5 years.
Her son, John Henry Durand, lives in Oregon, and she has two grandchildren.
Of her longevity, Felzman says she can’t pinpoint one thing, but that she’s had a “good time living.”
