Chad Macdonald Graduates From UI

Chad MacDonald graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho last May. He was a member of the National Honors Program, Phi Eta Sigma, Idaho Honors Program and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and was on the Dean’s List eight consecutive semesters.

In September, McDonald will begin work toward a master’s degree in business at Washington State University.

He is a 1995 graduate of University High School and the son of Robert and Sonja MacDonald, Spokane.

The Women of the Washington Water Power Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships to six students, based on community involvement, academic excellence and relation to employees of the Washington Water Power.

The students, scholarship amounts, parents and hometowns are:

Christie Emery, $2,500, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Emery, Davenport.

Jennifer Hanna, $2,000, Mr. and Mrs. John Hanna, Spokane.

Elizabeth Ross, $1,500, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Newman, Spokane.

Nathan Statzke, $1,500, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Statzke, Hope, Idaho.

Stephany Smith, $1,000, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mondich, Ione, Wash.

Timothy Aked, $1,000, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Aked, Spokane.
