Spotlight: Women’S Softball

Stadium Sports of Spokane will open defense of its amateur Softball Association Women’s Major Modified national championship tonight.

Opening ceremonies at Franklin Park are scheduled for 6 p.m. with the first games about 6:45.

Games will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday and run all day. The tournament will wind up Sunday with the championship game in early afternoon.
