Computer Art Exhibit Being Held At Ewu

The Gallery of Art at Eastern Washington University will hold its 12th National Computer Art Invitational exhibition in January.

The exhibition is open to all media-created and/or generated are by computers produced on a hard-copy format. No software programs will be accepted.

To enter, send a maximum of 10 35mm slides, a $20 check or money order and a self-addressed-stamped envelope to Friends of the Gallery, Gallery of Art MS-102, Eastern Washington University, 526 Fifth, Cheney, WA 99004-2431.

Deadline is Oct. 19. For more information, call the gallery at (509) 359-7070.

Application calls

Applications are due Tuesday for the Nadine Hall Memorial Scholarship fund for the Fall session for any student at Holy Names Music Center on a need basis.

You may pick up an application at the center or by calling 326-9516.

Auditions

Theater Arts for Children is holding auditions for its first show of the year, “The Princess and the Pea,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, and at 1 p.m. August 29 at the theater in University City Mall, 10600 E. Sprague.

Both adults and teens are to be cast; no preparation is needed. The show will run Oct. 2-17.

Classes

Spokane Art School is offering a workshop on photographing the Spokane River from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The $45 tuition is required in advanced; call the school at 328-0900 or stop by at 920 N. Howard.

Festival Dance Academy is accepting registration applications for its schools in Lewiston, Moscow and Genesee, Idaho, and Pullman.

Edie Dunlap, a Spokane artist, has a watercolor painting, “Early Morning Rush Hour,” appearing in the Montana Watercolor Society’s Watermedia 1999 National Exhibition.
