Schweitzer Owners Plan Open House

The new owners of Schweitzer Mountain Resort are hosting a community gathering Thursday evening at the resort’s main lodge.

Harbor Resorts executives Robert Holmes, Ron Cook and Ron Nova, as well as Schweitzer General Manager Peter Gillis will speak at the event. They’ll discuss Harbor’s culture, style and values, as well as Schweitzer’s history, industry trends, community partnerships, planning and profitability.

Harbor Resorts, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Seattle-based Harbor Properties, purchased Schweitzer Mountain Resort from U.S. Bank on Dec. 31. U.S. Bank had gained control of the mountain through bankruptcy proceedings.

Complimentary food and beverages will be served at the open house, which will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Taps in the Schweitzer Daylodge.
