Man Sentenced For False Loan Statements

From Staff

A man who made false statements on a loan application must spend two days in jail, do 100 hours of community service and pay $10,000 in restitution, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Randy T. Hendrickson, 34, of Martinez, Calif., formerly of Coeur d’Alene, also was sentenced to spend 18 days in home confinement and spend five years in supervised release.

Hendrickson admitted making false statements in a 1997 application for a home equity line of credit from Avondale Federal Savings Bank through Advanced Mortgage Company of Coeur d’Alene. In his application, he reported employment income from Tim’s Drywall when he did not work there.

Avondale gave Hendrickson a $45,000 line of credit, on which he defaulted. The bank lost $31,595.20.
