Cheney Keeps EV On Skids
Cheney’s comeback win on Friday continued a trend for East Valley’s entire season: good start, poor finish.
Chris Oyolokor and Chris Bond shared 13 fourth-quarter points as Cheney (8-7 Border League) rallied for a 55-52 boys basketball win.
EV’s nine-point lead after three quarters slipped away when the host Knights were held scoreless for the first 4 minutes of the final quarter.
Bond’s two free throws with 3 seconds left sealed the win.
Adam Sitton had 11 rebounds for the Knights (9-5 BL), who started the league season 9-2.
