Workshop Will Be Presented By Guitarist Chris Proctor
National-champion fingerstyle acoustic guitarist and recording artist Chris Proctor will hold a workshop at 4 p.m. Feb. 27 at Petrucelly’s Violins & Guitars, 1505 N. Ash.

Exhibit of bronze sculptures
A selection of 32 bronze sculptures from the Cheney Cowles Museum will be on display in Olympia from Thursday through March 6.
The exhibit, titled “Cast in Bronze: Western Art Sculpture From the Collection of the Cheney Cowles Museum,” will be at the offices of Secretary of State Ralph Munro. It features works by Frederick Remington, R.C. Gorman, Adrian Voisin and others.
ArtFest rules
Artists interested in applying to show their artwork in ArtFest `99 can obtain a prospectus by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard, Spokane, WA 99201, or Cheney Cowles Museum, 2316 W. First, Spokane, WA 99204, or by picking one up at either site.
Deadline for submission is March 12.

Auditions
The Lake City Playhouse will hold auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at 6 p.m. for young people, and 7:30 p.m. for adults Monday at the Harding Center, 15th and Wallace in Coeur d’Alene.
Auditions need to have memorized 20 to 30 seconds of material from any Shakespearean play or sonnet.

Classes
Corbin Art Center has issued its schedule of classes that begin Monday at the center, 507 W. Seventh.
For adults: Suminigashi, tole painting lace, pointed brush calligraphy, French country swag, landscape workshop with Annette Carter, and developing easy concise colors with Susan Rohrback.
For children: wearable art for ages 7 to 13 and hand-dipped candles for ages 6 to 13.

Create paper mache cats in two workshops from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and on Feb. 27 at the Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard.
The workshop, $25 plus a $5 lab fee, is for students in grades four and above.

“Art, Creativity and Healing: Reconnecting With the Magic of Spontaneous Artistic Expresion” is a special workshop led by artist Kathy Hubbard from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard.
Workshop tuition is $50, plus a $5 lab fee and a $5 registration fee for nonmembers.
