Cda Hires City Hall Aide

The mayor has his right-hand woman.

Victoria Bruno, who has worked for everyone from J.P. Stravens Planning Associates to the University of Idaho, became administrative assistant to Mayor Steve Judy and the City Council on Thursday.

She was hired from a field of 39 candidates for the $34,000-a-year job.

Bruno was top because of “her resume, her personality, education and experience qualifications were outstanding,” Judy said. “She’s going to be a great asset to the city overall and will be a great representative for elected officials in answering telephone calls, letters and taking on special projects.”

Bruno was born in Georgia and grew up in northwestern Montana. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and journalism from Rutgers University and her doctorate in sociology from Princeton University.

She has worked as an administrator for North Idaho College Head Start. Bruno also did public relations work for CENEX Corp. in Minneapolis and Missoula.

She lives with her husband and two children in Hayden Lake.
