More than the steaks will be tough
World Championship Wrestling announced plans Friday for the WCW Nitro Grill, a Las Vegas restaurant where pile drivers will meet porterhouse steaks.
The wrestling-themed restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-March in Las Vegas’ Excalibur Hotel and Casino. It comes amid plans by the rival World Wrestling Federation for a hotel and restaurant of its own.
The restaurant will feature regular appearances by WCW stars such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Lex Luger, said Karl Rogers, president of American Vantage Co.’s Sitka Restaurant Group.
Big-screen televisions will feature non-stop wrestling highlights, and the restaurant will sell a line of WCW-related merchandise.
