Brent Cummings matched his yearly average of 27 points and visiting Pullman made 14 of 17 free throws to storm Deer Park 102-64 in a Great Northern League matchup for first place. Cummings topped 900 points for his career.
Both teams entered unbeaten and ranked (Pullman No. 2, DP No. 10) among 2A teams in the Associated Press poll. Pullman had averaged 81.8 points per game, DP 68.9.
The Greyhounds outrebounded the Stags 48-26.
Deer Park’s Adam Swinyard (23.9 ppg, No. 3 in the area) scored 22 points.
