Worker Cut On Hand By Would-Be Robber

From Staff

A 24-year-old man was cut during a robbery attempt early Friday by a knife-wielding man at a convenience store.

Clayton Ingram of Coeur d’Alene, a night shift employee at Horne’s Petro Stop-N-Shop, 1501 Sherman Ave., was taking the trash out to a Dumpster when the would-be robber confronted him.

The man swung a knife at Ingram and demanded money. Clayton escaped the robbery attempt by running back into the store.

The robber was last seen running east down an alley behind the store.

Clayton was cut on his hand, but was not seriously hurt.
