Post Falls School Board Seeks Applicants

From Staff

The Post Falls School Board is looking for a new trustee for Zone 2 after the resignation of Kevin Schneidmiller.

Applicants must be 18 or older, have lived in Zone 2 for 30 days or more and must write a letter of interest to the board.

The school board will appoint a trustee to serve until July 2000. The Zone 2 vacancy will be on the ballot next May for a one-year term to complete Schneidmiller’s original three-year post. The vacancy will be on the ballot again in May 2001 for the full three-year term.

Schneidmiller, who has served on the board since 1990, announced his resignation Monday. His family is building a new home in Post Falls that is out of his trustee zone.

Letters of interest must be received by the clerk of the board by 4 p.m. Aug. 3. Questionnaires will be sent to the applicants to be completed by Aug. 13.

The school board will hold a special meeting on Sept. 13 to interview candidates and choose a trustee.
