Geneva Radish Spokane
Funeral mass for Geneva F. Radish will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Radish, who was born in Crookston, Minn., died Sunday. She was 77 and a 50-year Spokane resident.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and Air Force Sergeants auxiliaries.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Jack; a son, Mike Wilkerson of Spokane; five daughters, Patricia Smith of Spokane, Rae Hall of Pinckney, Mich., and Peggy Brook, Barbara Mitzell and Ginny O’Shiro, all of Yakima; three brothers, Wayne, Laurence and Merlin Karel, and two sisters, Barbara Burke and JoAnn Phipps, all of Yakima; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Leona Winters Spokane
Memorial service for Leona M. Winters, 98, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Opportunity Christian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Winters died on July 6. She was born in Oklahoma and was a homemaker.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Bob Winters of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Grace Lewis of Spokane; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Ruth (Green) Tarbert Spokane Service for Ruth (Green) Tarbert, 87, will be at 11 a.m. today at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Davenport.
A former longtime Davenport resident, Mrs. Tarbert died Monday. She was born in Cheney.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Davenport and the Rebekkah Lodge.
In 1991 she moved to Spokane.
Her husband of 50 years, Phillip, died in 1981.
Survivors include a son, Bob Tarbert of Davenport; three daughters, Betty Chumbley of Spokane, Phyllis Marz of Reardan and Peggy Weitz of Aloha, Ore.; two brothers, Wesley Green of Davenport and Dale Green of Curlew, Wash.; three sisters, Edna Reitmeier of Cheney, Allene Green of Davenport and Faye Ilruska of Mercer Island, Wash.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

James Giles Spokane
Memorial service for James Giles, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 35-year Spokane resident, Mr. Giles died Sunday. He was born in Beattie, Kan.
He served in the Air Force for 21 years as an aircraft mechanic and served during World War II.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Arab Patrol. He was also a booster member of the Hi Rollers and Roving Gamblers Motorcycle Club.
His wife preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicky Haynes of Spokane and Mary Ellen Thurman of Lancaster, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Gloria Stallenburg of Spokane; two brothers and five sisters; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Duncan Replinger Spokane
Memorial service for Duncan Redd Replinger, 40, is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at Spokane Unitarian Universalist Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Replinger, who died Saturday, was born in Seattle.
As an infant, he moved to Spokane with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Replinger of Spokane; a brother, Brian Replinger of Chicago; a sister, Melinda Young of Spokane; and his grandmother, Virginia Replinger.
William Kieffer Fruitland, Wash.
Wake for William C. “Billy” Kieffer, 60, will be at 7 p.m. today at the home of Bill and Bonnie Kieffer on the West End Spokane Indian Reservation. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rock Church on the reservation. Burial will follow at LeFluer Cemetery near Fruitland. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash. is in charge of arrangements.
A 45-year Fruitland resident, Mr. Kieffer, died Monday. He was born in Nespelem, Wash.
He worked as a logger for several years. He also owned and operated the White Willow Motel in Fruitland for a few years.
Mr. Kieffer was a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and a board member of Sovereign Power. He also sat on various boards and committees for the Spokane Tribe.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Bonnie; three sons, Blaine and Donald Kieffer, both of the reservation and Billy Joe Kieffer of Reardan; three daughters, Yvonne Abrahamson of the reservation, Suzanne Kieffer of Moses Lake and Angela Kieffer of Spokane; two brothers, Rob and Joe Kieffer, both of the reservation; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Thelma Kelly Spokane

A 53-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Kelly, died Monday. She was born in Alexandria, Minn.
She worked as a cook for Casey’s Family Restaurant for 25 years. She retired in 1988.
Mrs. Kelly was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Bennedit; six sons, Mike, Mark, Dave and Joe Kelly, all of Spokane, Tom Kelly of Medical Lake and Paul Kelly of Buckley, Wash.; five daughters, Katie Ries, Bridget Cotter, Brenda Hawkins, Mary Como and Kerrie Rowland, all of Spokane; a sister, Alice McCullough of Bozeman, Mont.; 42 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Alice Komodoski Donat Coeur d’Alene
Viewing for Alice Lucille Komodoski Donat, 81, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. Mrs. Donat, who was born in Big Sandy, Mont., died Sunday.
She married Clarence Donat in 1943 and eventually settled in Coeur d’Alene where she was the manager at the Coeur d’Alene Roller Rink from 1950 until 1958.
She later lived in Alaska where she worked for a railroad and as a waitress before returning to the Coeur d’Alene area.
Mrs. Donat had lived in Spokane for two years and in 1998 returned to Coeur d’Alene, living at Forest Place Retirement Community. She recently resided at Legends Park Assisted Living Community.
She organized a Boy Scouts newsletter while living in Spokane. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church.
Her husband died in 1975.
Survivors include three sons, Gene Donat of Moses Lake, Mike Donat of Auburn, Wash., and Pat Donat of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter, Alicemarie Hemmelman of Spokane; and seven grandchildren.
Evelyn (Suel) Wilson Spokane
Visitation for Evelyn (Suel) Wilson, 79, will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Wilson died Monday. She was born in Louisville, Ky.
She worked at Kmart for several years.
Her husband of 30 years, James, died in 1974.
Survivors include a son, Andy Wilson of Spokane; and two grandchildren.
Elizabeth Blumenschein Colfax, Wash.
Service for Elizabeth (Litzenberger) Blumenschein, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott, wash. Burial will follow at Endicott Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Schoenfield, Russia, Mrs. Blumenschein died Monday.
At a young age, she moved to Endicott with her family and graduated from Endicott High School in 1925.
In 1927 she married George Blumenschein and they farmed in the Endicott area. In 1956 they retired and moved into Endicott.
Mrs. Blumenschein moved to the Whitman Health and Rehab Center in Colfax last year.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Her husband died in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Harvey Blumenschein of Spokane and Ray Blumenschein of St. John, Wash.; a daughter, Joyce Lust of Endicott; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Ralph Barbre Harrington, Wash.
Service for Ralph C. Barbre, 87, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harrington Community Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Creston, Wash., Mr. Barbre died Monday.
He graduated from Creston High School and later was a wheat farmer in the Harrington area for several years.
Mr. Barbre was a member of the Harrington Community Church, Acacia Masonic Lodge, Harrington Golf Course and Bluestem Grange.
His wife of 62 years, Betty, died in 1996.
Survivors include three daughters, Laura Bischoff of Spokane, Anita Franklin of Harrington and Doris Murphy of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Paul Barbre of Omak, Wash.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Sister Marie (Zenner) Rauch, SNJM Spokane
Vigil service for Sister Marie (Zenner) Rauch, 91, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Holy Names Convent. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the convent. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. HennesseySmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Marie, who was born in Quincy, Wash., died Monday.
She graduated from Immaculate High School in Seattle and in 1927 entered the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
Sister Marie graduated from Holy Names College with a bachelor’s degree in education and Marylhurst College with a bachelor’s degree in music education.
She taught music in schools and private sessions from 1929 to 1972 throughout the Northwest.
In 1976 Sister Marie came to the convent in Spokane to serve retired and infirm sisters. Sister Marie has been a resident at the Convent Care Center since 1993.
She is survived by a sister, Loretta Wilbur of Kingston, Wash.
Anna Kinder Spokane
Joint memorial service for Anna Kinder, 83, and her husband, Merle, who died in 1997, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wilbur (Wash.) Cemetery. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 57-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Kinder, died on July 6. She was born in Wilbur.
She owned Yard Stick Fabric Shop in Spokane for 10 years.
Mrs. Kinder was a member of the Danish Sisterhood.
She was married to Merle for 62 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Kinder of Olympia; and a brother, Aksel Petersen of Wilbur.
