Logging, Construction To Tie Up Forest Roads
Logging and construction on forest roads may inconvenience forest visitors between Athol and Lakeview, and on the Nordman-Metaline road that crosses the Selkirk Mountains.
Bunco Road No. 332 and Road 278 to Lakeview will have heavy truck traffic for the rest of the summer, according to the Sandpoint Ranger District. The traffic is the result of logging in the Kickbush Gulch area.
Helicopters will also be flying logs over portions of the Kickbush Trail.
In the Selkirk Mountains, Road 302 is under construction for the next four or five weeks. Travelers can expect half-hour delays Monday through Friday.
The work is along an 11-mile stretch between the junction with Tango Creek Road 638 and Granite Pass.
