Leonard Little, the St. Louis Rams linebacker who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a drunkdriving wreck that killed a woman, was suspended without pay by the NFL for the first eight games of the upcoming season.

Charismatic, who broke a leg in the Belmont Stakes as he attempted to complete racing’s Triple Crown, will enter stud next year at Lane’s End Farm in Lexington, Ky.

Former Indiana basketball star and Arizona transfer Luke Recker was released from Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after undergoing orthopedic surgery on his left wrist. The injury was one of several Recker received July 10 when he was involved in a three-car crash in Durango, Colo.
