Anna Linnea Holmgren Chartrand Hayden, Idaho

Memorial service for Anna Linnea Holmgren Chartrand, 98, will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene.

Mrs. Chartrand, who was born in Gislarbo, Sweden, died Wednesday.

She immigrated to the United States in 1908 and grew up in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Mrs. Chartrand attended Buena Vista College and married Clarence Chartrand in 1931.

She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1948 and settled in the Hayden area.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carolyn “Carrie” Luce of Hayden; six grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 280 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.

Stanley Cress Spokane

Memorial service for Stanley Gaylord Cress, 81, will be held today at 1 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Cress, who was born in Northport, Wash., died Tuesday.

He grew up in Spokane and served with the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Cress returned to Spokane and worked as a truck driver for Armour for many years.

He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Spokane.

Survivors include a son, Bill Cress of Newman Lake; a daughter, Lynda Layman of Shelley, Idaho; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 1428 W. Broadway, Spokane, WA 99201.
