Men’S Chorus Performs Tonight
The Inland Northwest Men’s Chorus is presenting its 11th annual spring concert tonight at The Met.
Director David Denman Smith and the 20-plus member volunteer chorus have put together an entertaining collection of swing classics under the title, “Swing Fever.”
In commemoration of Duke Ellington’s centenary, the chorus will perform a medley of his hits, including “Satin Doll,” “Caravan” and “Mood Indigo.”
Their five-member break-out group, Xtension, will perform some numbers a capella, but the full chorus will have some backup help in the swing department from drummer Rick Westrick and string bassman Eugene Jablonsky.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance, available at G&B Select-a-Seat outlets or call (800) 325-SEAT.
