Commissioner Waits For Reappointment

Idaho Industrial Commissioner Jim Kerns has not given up on the possibility of being reappointed to a second six-year term by Gov. Dirk Kempthorne, although his first term ended six months ago.

Kempthorne spokesman Brian Whitlock said the governor is carefully reviewing applications in an effort to make sure the most qualified candidate is chosen.

Kerns will to serve on the commission until Kempthorne makes an appointment.
