Thomas Lipp Bonners Ferry, Idaho
Service for Thomas Fred Lipp, 93, will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lipp, who was born in Copeland, Idaho, died Wednesday.
He attended Copeland School, and married Nell Davis in 1929.
Mr. Lipp worked for the telephone company, the state highway department and worked on construction at Farragut Naval Station. He also served as the foreman for the Boundary County Road Department.
In 1943, he helped construct the Omak (Wash.) Airport and Grand Coulee Dam, and later moved to Montana and continued a career in construction.
Mr. Lipp returned to the Bonners Ferry area in 1946 and became a partner in Lipp-Ehrmantrout Concrete Co., later buying out his partner to form Fred Lipp Co.
He retired in 1968 and traveled extensively throughout the world, including Russia, Europe and Hawaii. He spent winters in Arizona.
Mr. Lipp was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge 55 AF&AM, Order of the Eastern Star, Knights of Pythias, and was a past member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years; two daughters, Kay Bergmann of San Francisco and Dorothy Rosser of Bellingham; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Gordon Johnson Spokane
No service will be held for Gordon R. Johnson, a longtime Spokane resident. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson, who was born in Spokane, died Thursday. He was 57.
He worked as a department manager in the retail sales industry for several years.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Carol; a son, Todd Johnson of Puyallup, Wash.; four daughters, DeAnn Johnson of Puyallup, Michelle West of Mill Creek, Wash., Brenda Gilbert of Spokane and Cynthia Anderson of Deer Park; one brother; two sisters; and 12 grandchildren.

Walter Brown Puyallup, Wash.
Graveside service for Walter Joseph Brown, a former longtime Spokane resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown, who was born in Valley, Wash., died Thursday. He was 96.
He worked as a project engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers for many years.
Mr. Brown was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup.
His wife, Frances, died in 1983.
Survivors include a son, Eugene Brown of Graham, Wash.; a daughter, Dolores Gilliam-Barrett of Puyallup; six grandchildren and five great-grandsons.
Lloyd `John’ Moore Coeur d’Alene
Service for Lloyd O. “John” Moore, 87, will be at 3 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Moore, who was born in Nebraska, died Tuesday.
He grew up in Nebraska and moved to Emmett, Idaho, in 1934. He married Mary Thrall in 1936.
Mr. Moore moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1937. He worked for Ohio Match and was a plaster mason at Farragut Naval Station.
He later moved to Washington and worked at the Hanford Nuclear Plant from 1953 until 1976 when he retired and returned to Coeur d’Alene in 1976.
He was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Lodge and the Post Falls Senior Center.
His wife died in 1977.
Survivors include two sons, John Moore of Coeur d’Alene and Donald Moore of Post Falls; a daughter, Yvonne Richter of Shelton, Wash.; special friend, Mary Curless of Coeur d’Alene; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
