Key to the game: W-C senior Alyssa Erickson grabbed a career-high 28 rebounds and the Wildcats had four 3-pointers in the third quarter to take control on the way to their first state title as a combined school.
Other highlights: Erickson scored six of her game-high 21 points on putbacks and also had four assists and four steals. Her previous-best rebounding performance was 16. St. George’s guard Wenchi Liu had 11 points but made only 4 of 17 field goals.

Key to the game: Ritzville senior Amy Fitch played superb defense on Cascade Christian’s Jackie Shively and Amber Sackmann scored nine of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Broncos earned their ninth trophy in 11 state appearances.
Other highlights: Cascade Christian outscored the Broncos 14-4 in the third to tie the game at 28 heading into the fourth quarter. But the Cougars made only 4 of 19 fourth-quarter field goals and were without a bucket in the period until there was 2:10 left.

Key to the game: Waterville reserve freshman Abby Jordan stole the ball from Sunnyside Christian’s Sara Den Hoed with 16.4 seconds left and was fouled. She converted both free throws in her 1-and-1 opportunity with 10.2 seconds left to put the Shockers up 45-43.
Other highlights: Knights junior forward Heather Den Boer had a chance to tie it with 3.9 seconds left but made just the front end of a 1-and-1. Waterville made seven 3-pointers, including three by reserve Jeni Koch. Rebecca Willms scored a team-high 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds, seven on the offensive end. … Jordan’s two free throws were her only points of the game and she also had five rebounds and an assist.
