Cops Serve Lobsters This Week
Local police officers will serve meals at a Coeur d’Alene restaurant this weekend to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Officers from several North Idaho law enforcement agencies are scheduled to participate in the annual “Cops and Lobsters” fund-raiser that runs Friday through Sunday at Red Lobster. Any tips the officers receive will benefit the local Special Olympics games.
Several of the officers also will participate in this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics held in conjunction with the Idaho Summer Games in June.
Special Olympics programs in Idaho provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 1,600 children and adults with mental retardation, according to the agency’s Boise office.
