Gene Southwick Spokane
Funeral for Gene Southwick, 81, will be at 1 p.m. today at the First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Southwick, who was born in Lenore, Idaho, died Monday.
He worked as a self-employed carpenter and designer, renovating and remodeling various places.
Mr. Southwick served as church elder and deacon at First Church of the Open Bible in Spokane for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ruth Frisbee; six daughters, Kandee Culton and Kim Southwick, both of Spokane, Carolyn Wicks of Clarkston, Wash., Mignon Hackett of Milpitas, Calif., Sharon Alexander of Pacific Grove, Calif., and Linda Calvert of Irrigon, Ore.; three sons, Ron Scott of Victorville, Calif., Devan Calvert and Kevan Southwick, both of Spokane; a sister, Irene Johnson of Lewiston; 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Leah Wizemann Spokane
Visitation for Leah E. Wizemann, 92, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at the Riverside Memorial Park Mausoleum.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Wizemann died Tuesday.
She was a homemaker and a Camp Fire leader for many years.
Mrs. Wizemann also was a member of the Manito Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star and the Avalon Garden Club.
Her husband of 35 years, Herbert, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Lora Lee Pieroni of Spokane and Patty Camp of Green Valley, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
Peggy Boyles Coeur d’Alene
Graveside service for Peggy Boyles, 95, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boyles, who was born in Troy, Idaho, died March 7.
She worked at American Linen Supply Co. for 20 years and had lived in Seattle, Spokane, and most recently, Coeur d’Alene.
Her husband, Robert, died in 1958.
Survivors include two daughters, Bettie Brooks of Seattle and Mary Lou Prentiss of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Delphia Morrison Spokane
Funeral for Delphia Morrison, 90, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South.
Mrs. Morrison, who was born in Joplin, Mo., died Monday.
She came to Spokane as a child and attended Sheridan Elementary School and Lewis and Clark High School.
Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters, Chelcey Hartz and Ina Emery, both of Spokane.
Bernice Lange Spokane
Graveside service for Bernice E. Lange, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Riverside Memorial Park. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 60-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Lange died Monday. She was born in Beloit, Wis.
Mrs. Lange worked as a housekeeper at Deaconess Medical Center for several years.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Lange of Spokane; two sisters, Vivian Ellingham and Alice Anderson, both of Racine, Wis.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Terry `Rob’ Cameron Newport, Wash.
No service will be held for Terry Robert “Rob” Cameron, 27. ShermanKnapp Funeral Home in Newport is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cameron, who was born in Spokane, died March 13 as a result of an accidental shooting in Blanchard, Idaho.
He moved to Newport 11 years ago and had been working as a gas fitter in the construction industry.
Survivors include his mother, Susan Howell of Newport; two sisters, Jody and Carri, and a brother, Mark, all of Spokane.
Patrick Graham Colville, Wash.
Funeral Mass for Patrick Graham, 79, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Northport (Wash.) Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Calvary cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Graham, who was born in Spokane, died Saturday.
He graduated from Northport (Wash.) High School in 1937 and spent four years serving with the Coast Guard.
After his discharge in 1945, he returned to the Northport area for a short time until moving to Yakima.
In 1948 he married Geraldine Drummond.
Mr. Graham worked as a timber cruiser for Lincoln Lumber, which later became Boise Cascade, for several years before he worked for the Department of Natural Resources.
His wife died in 1981, and he later retired.
Survivors include two daughters, Nora Friend of Chewelah, Wash., and Mary Shovell of Colville; a son, Patrick Graham of Chewelah; a sister, Nora Maxfield of Northport; a brother, Robert Graham of Colville; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Alice Alexandrovich Spokane
Funeral for Alice Alexandrovich, 37, will be at 11 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Alexandrovich died Saturday.
In 1979 she graduated from Rogers High School, where she was involved in various athletics.
Mrs. Alexandrovich worked as an aide at Longfellow Elementary for several years. She also volunteered many hours at the school.
She was a member of Zion Christian Center.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; her children, Megan and Joshua, both at home; her mother, Betty MacPherson of Spokane; three brothers, Steven and John MacPherson, both of Spokane, and Robert MacPherson of Seattle; seven sisters, Kay Smith, Barbara Boren, Margaret Caldwell, Virginia Pike and Theresa Weinert, all of Spokane, Marilyn Monk of Edwall, Wash., and Chris MacPherson of Seattle.

Isabel Corn Spokane
Memorial service for Isabel D. Corn, 71, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Corn, who was born in Davenport, Wash., died Monday.
She attended Deer Park High School for two years before graduating from Chewelah (Wash.) High School in 1945. She married Robert Corn in 1946.
Mrs. Corn worked for SeaFirst Bank’s Spokane and Eastern branches for 20 years and retired in 1983.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Her husband died in December.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Dormaier of Maple Valley, Wash; two sons, David Corn of Spokane and Stephen Corn of Bothell, Wash.; a sister, Mary Harrington of Moses Lake; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Perry `Jimmie’ Harshbarger Otis Orchards
Graveside service for Perry L. “Jimmie” Harshbarger, 91, will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Cashmere (Wash.) Cemetery. Braun Funeral Home in Cashmere is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harshbarger, who was born in Hartline, Wash., died Sunday.
He grew up in Hartline and Spokane and later moved to Deer Park.
In the 1920s he served as a quartermaster aboard the USS Tanager on detached duty with the Navy in the South Pacific.
Mr. Harshbarger later worked as a motorman instructor for the Market Street Roadway in San Francisco until 1943, when he returned to the Spokane area.
He then purchased Black and White Cab Co., later becoming the owner and manager of the Checker Cab Co., when the company merged with Black and White Cab in the late 1940s.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Verna; a daughter, Vivian Harvey of Otis Orchards; a sister, Ellen Lawton of Orange, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

Shirley Heninger Spokane
No service will be held for Shirley K. Heninger. Private service will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Heninger, who was born in Des Moines, Iowa, died Monday. She was 63.
She grew up in the Waukee, Iowa, area just outside of Des Moines, graduating from Waukee High School in 1953.
Mrs. Heninger then went to work for the Meredith Publishing Co. in Des Moines. In 1958 she moved to Spokane and worked as a secretary for KHQ.
She married Rex Heninger in 1963. In 1969 she went to work for the Underwriter’s Adjusting Co., eventually rising to the position of clerical supervisor.
Mrs. Heninger also worked for Grange Insurance and Glesy, Greer and Gunn and retired in 1998.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Robin Johnston of Spokane; three brothers, Richard and Dale Leonard, both of Des Moines, and Robert Leonard of Orland, Calif.; and three grandsons.

Donald Ralph Spokane
Graveside service for Donald A. Ralph, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Marshall (Wash.) Cemetery. A pot luck will follow at the Marshall Church. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A longtime Spokane resident, Mr. Ralph died Friday. He was born in Spokane.
He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for contractors N.A. Degerstrom Inc. from 1962 until 1996.
Mr. Ralph was a member of the Teamsters Local 690.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Esther; a son, Kenneth Ralph of Spokane; four daughters, Tia Beckie McCrow and DeAnna Voshell, both of Spokane, Dawnof Coos Bay, Ore., and Punky Paulsen of Kennewick; three brothers, Clarence and Charles Ralph, both of Spokane, and Gary Ralph of Dover, Idaho; four sisters, Judy and Carolyn Ralph, Karen Emery and Marilyn Peters, all of Spokane; and 11 grandchildren.
James Crose Spokane
No service will be held for James B. Crose, 77, at his request. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mr. Crose died Saturday. He was born in Palouse, Wash.
Mr. Crose served with the military and later worked as a civil engineer for the U.S. Government.
He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 57.
He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Riley of Spokane.
June Schaefer Ritzville, Wash.
Memorial service for June A. Schaefer, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Philadelphia Congregational Church in Ritzville. Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Ritzville resident, Mrs. Schaefer died Friday.
She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1936 and attended Spokane Business College. She married Everett Schaefer in 1941.
Mrs. Schaefer worked as a secretary for the Selective Service during World War II. In 1957, she began working as deputy auditor in Adams County and retired in 1981.
She was a member and former president of the Royal Neighbors of America and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years. She also was a member of Philadelphia Congregational Church in Ritzville.
Her husband died in 1972.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Schaefer of Ritzville and Clark Schaefer of Seattle; a sister, Zoe Schultz of Port Orchard, Wash.; a brother, Edwald Haight of Moses Lake; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Helen Johnson Cusick, Wash.
Funeral for Helen Dorothy Johnson, 90, will be at 2 p.m. April 3 at ShermanKnapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash.
Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, died Sunday.
She married David Johnson in 1930 and lived in Seattle until 1980, when she moved to Spokane.
Mrs. Johnson made parachutes and jackets during World War II. She later worked as a licensed practical nurse on a private care basis until retirement in the late 1970s.
Her husband died in 1975.
In 1993 she moved to Cusick.
Survivors include three daughters, Joan Clark of Cusick, Karrol DaFor of Kent, Wash., and Noel Bird of Federal Way, Wash.; a son, Charles Johnson of Cusick; a sister, Anna Kraemer of Lodi, Calif.; and a brother, Alfred Riske of Riverside, Calif.
Eva Connell Nine Mile Falls
Funeral for Eva E. Connell, formerly of Evans, Wash., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Danekas Funeral Home in Colville, Wash. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
Mrs. Connell, 76, died Saturday.
Born in Brown County, Ind., she graduated from high school in Brown County and worked as a telephone operator in Indianapolis for a short time.
In 1943 she married Theodore Connell, and they lived in Indiana before moving to Evans in 1946.
Afer her husband died in 1989, she moved to Nine Mile Falls to be near her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana Brink of Nine Mile Falls; a brother, Harold Snider of Morgan Town, Ind.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ina (Buoy) Graham Beaverton, Ore.
Memorial service for Ina Christina (Buoy) Graham, 71, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Aloha (Ore.) Church of God. American Memorial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Chewelah, Wash., Mrs. Graham, died Friday.
She was raised in the Washington counties of Pend Orielle and Stevens.
In 1949 she married Boyd Graham.
Mrs. Graham worked at the Ione (Wash.) State Bank for several years, before becoming a homemaker.
She later went to work for the school lunch program in Ione and also in various positions for the Girl Scout and Boy Scout programs.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Peaceful Valley Grange.
She moved to Beaverton in 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Ted Graham of Renton, Wash., and Tom Graham of Springfield, Ore.; a daughter, Cindy Haglund of Portland; two brothers, Glen Buoy of Colbert and Elmer Buoy of The Dalles, Ore.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Maudine (Crosby) Nelson Spokane
Memorial service for Maudine (Crosby) Nelson, 92, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Reardan, Wash., at a later date. The Cremation Society of Washington.
A longtime Spokane resident, Mrs. Nelson died Saturday. She was born in Livingston, Mont.
She attended Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane and Kinman Business University.
Mrs. Nelson worked at Bearing and Rim Automotive Co. in Spokane for many years, and later worked at Riverview Terrace Retirement Home, retiring after 20 years of service.
She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and Women’s Guild.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mildred Hamilton of Alaska; a niece, Margaret Wood of Alaska; a great-niece and a great-nephew.
Albert Hallstein Spokane
Memorial service for Albert F. Hallstein, 81, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Fourth Memorial Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Hallstein died Saturday.
He graduated from Rogers High School in 1935 and served wiht the Coast Guard during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
After the war, Mr. Hallstein worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1979 after 28 years of service.
He was a 25-year member of Fourth Memorial Church.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Margaret; two sons, Paul Hallstein of Brasilia, Brazil, and Jeff Frank of Weiser, Idaho; a daughter, Carrie Arnold of Tekoa, Wash.; three sisters, Adeline Jones, Louise Hipperson and Frieda Booth, all of Spokane.
