Work Under Way On Salmon Dilemma

Work on a project designed to give Congress options for resolving the conflict between economics and fish in the Northwest could be completed this summer or early fall.

So far, information gathered has been narrowed down to seven alternatives, which were discussed at a meeting Thursday.

The process was started after groups with a stake in salmon recovery issues were asked to submit plans. The Multi-Species Framework Project received 27 plans. Those were narrowed down to seven.
