Lollapalooza Canceled

The plug has been pulled on the Lollapalooza summer tour.

For the second consecutive year, the prototype of the summer rock package - founded in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell - will not hit the road, sources said Tuesday.

The reason: Organizers could not assemble a strong enough lineup and didn’t want to taint the festival’s name with a sub-standard bill. The event may be staged next year.
