Program Collecting Unusable Pesticides

A special program to collect pesticides and safely dispose of them is available this month in Boundary and Kootenai counties.

The Idaho Department of Agriculture is collecting unusable pesticides on May 17. Participants in the program must register by Friday and provide a list of the unusable pesticides and their quantities.

Pesticides include herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides and other similar products.

Participation is confidential and not related to any enforcement action. Collection will be made at 8:30 a.m. May 17 at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Transfer Station.
